Interpretation
The initial word(s) in boldface type in the Definitions section have the meanings defined in that section. These definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of these Terms of Service:

- Automattic refers to Automattic Inc. (in Canada: Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd.), which provides the WordPress website hosting and design product that powers this website. We refer to Automattic Inc. and Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd. collectively as “Automattic” throughout these Terms.

This site is powered by WordPress, a service product offered by Automattic for creating and managing blogs and websites. As such, your use of this Site is also subject to Automattic’s Terms of Service for WordPress.
For example, these terms include, but are not limited to:

- Your general representation and warranty regarding your use of WordPress services.

The remaining content in this Site’s Terms of Service refers solely to Lisa Harrison Communications unless otherwise stated. For information on how Automattic addresses any of the topics below regarding WordPress, refer back to Automattic’s WordPress Terms of Service.
3. Minimum Age Requirements
Our Service is not directed to children. You are not allowed to access or use our Service if you are under the age of 13 (or 16 in Europe). If you are under 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority where you live), you can only use our Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms of Service. If you contact us or otherwise use our Service, you represent that you can legally form a binding contract with us.

- Will not be used to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages;
- Will not interfere with, disrupt, or attack any service or network;
- Will not be used to create, distribute, or enable material that is, facilitates, or operates in conjunction with, malware, spyware, adware, or other malicious programs or code;
- Will not involve reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, deciphering, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code for the Service or any related technology that is not open source;
- Will not involve renting, leasing, loaning, selling, or reselling any part of the Service; and
- Will not involve downloading, copying, reproducing, distributing, transmitting or otherwise duplicating in any way any of this Site’s Content without LHC’s prior written authorization.
If you use our Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept the Agreement on that person’s or entity’s behalf, that by using our Service you are accepting the Agreement on behalf of that person or entity, and that if you, or that person or entity, violates the Agreement, you and that person or entity agree to be responsible to us.

This Website’s Content is written, edited and selected and/or designed by Lisa Harrison Communications for the purpose of providing and illustrating information about LHC to those who visit this Site in search of the types of services we offer.
All the written content on this Website was created and is owned by LHC unless otherwise stated.
All the images on this Website were created and are owned by LHC, were used with permission, were free of licensing requirements when retrieved, and/or were licensed for use by LHC through Canva Pro (canva.com).
Every attempt has been made to give appropriate credit to the original source of information, images and graphics where that source was indicated at the time of retrieval.
In visiting this Site, all visitors thereby acknowledge and agree that:
- LHC has the right to control this Website, including any blogs we may produce, and where and how the blogs are distributed;

Our Service is provided “as is.” LHC and its suppliers and licensors hereby disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Neither LHC, nor its suppliers and licensors, makes any warranty that our Service will be error-free or that access thereto will be continuous or uninterrupted. You understand that you obtain services through our Service at your own discretion and risk.
12. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
The Terms of Service of this Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, the Canadian Copyright Act (Ownership of Copyright) and Canada’s Trademarks Act.
13. Limitation of Liability
In no event will LHC, or its suppliers, partners, or licensors, or LHC’s and its contractors’ and licensors’ respective directors, officers, employees, agents and advisors, be liable (including for any third-party products or services purchased or used through our Service) with respect to any subject matter of the Agreement under any contract, negligence, strict liability or other legal or equitable theory for: (i) any special, incidental or consequential damages; (ii) the cost of procurement for substitute products or services; (iii) any interruption of use or loss or corruption of data; or (iv) for any amounts that exceed $50. LHC shall have no liability for any failure or delay due to matters beyond its reasonable control. The foregoing shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LHC, its contractors, and its licensors, and LHC’s and its contractors’ and licensors’ respective directors, officers, employees, agents and advisors from and against any and all losses, liabilities, demands, damages, costs, claims, and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your use of our Services, including but not limited to your violation of the Agreement or any agreement with a provider of third-party services used in connection with the Service and the Content that we publish on the Site and that we post.
15. Translation
These Terms were originally written in English (Canada). We may translate these Terms into other languages, or enable them to be translated through this Service, and in the event of a conflict between a translated version of these Terms and the English version, the English version will control.
16. Miscellaneous
The Agreement (together with any other terms LHC provides that apply to any specific Service) constitutes the entire agreement between LHC and you concerning our Service. If any part of the Agreement is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part is severable from the Agreement, and does not affect the validity or enforceability of the rest of the Agreement. A waiver by either party of any term or condition of the Agreement or any breach thereof, in any one instance, will not waive such term or condition or any subsequent breach thereof. LHC may assign its rights under the Agreement without condition. You may only assign your rights under the Agreement with our prior written consent.
LHC’s Terms of Service were written in part using Automattic’s WordPress Terms of Service as a template. This use is authorized in the WordPress Terms of Service, which Automattic has made available under a Creative Commons Sharealike licence.
